    Died:
    Robert Andrew PEMBERTON — Wolfville

It is with great sadness and heartache that we announce the passing of Robert Andrew Pemberton, age 44, on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, in his home in Wolfville, NS. Robert was born in Windsor on September 6, 1978, to Jim and Marlyn (Hebb) Pemberton, of Falmouth. At an early age Robert showed a great aptitude and curiosity for technology. He turned this interest into an over 20 year career in information technology. Robert worked in internet services, government, agriculture and space industry, before getting an urge to go out west. In 2014, with the help of his father and uncles, he made the drive to Calgary to work in the oil and gas industry. Although he enjoyed his time out west, like most Nova Scotians, he longed to return home to be closer to family and friends. In 2021, Robert accepted a position at CKF in Hantsport. Throughout his career he was highly respected by his coworkers. To quote a former co-worker, “he knew his stuff and never met a computer problem he couldn’t solve.” Throughout his life Robert enjoyed soccer, spending time with animals, playing computer games, gardening and cooking. He loved to take monthly trips with his father to Halifax to see what deals they could find. Robert liked to try new recipes and share these creations with family and friends, or help his mother make salsa. His lasagna was a staple at many special occasions. He loved to garden. No matter where he lived he would grow tomatoes, peppers and herbs to have fresh year-round and also to give plants to anyone who wanted them. Robert loved animals from an early age. He would take any opportunity to spend time with pets, either taking the dogs swimming at the lake or relaxing at home. Robert was a private person whose generosity knew no limits. When he heard of something or someone in need, he would be one of the first to offer help. Whether it was building computers from spare parts to give to those who were in need or donating to local fundraisers. Private burial will take place in Centre Falmouth Cemetery.
