    Of Hants Border, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2020, at Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Beryl was born May 10, 1927 in Springhill and was a daughter of the late Guy and Harriet (Stonehouse) Demings.

    She was predeceased by her husband, Walter and daughter, Lynn; brothers, Ronald, in infancy; Carl and Fraser and her sisters, Dorothy Porter, Evelyn Walsh and Shirley Starratt.

Walter (son of Frank Miles Chipman and Muriel Blanche FitzRandolph) was born about 1926 in Nictaux West, Annapolis, Nova Scotia; died on 2 May 2005 in Windsor, Hants, Nova Scotia; was buried in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport, Hants, Nova Scotia.     CHIPMAN, Dorothy 'Lynn' — 50, of Coldbrook. Our loving and thoughtful wife, daughter, sister, mother, grand­mother, aunt, and friend to all, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2012, in Val­ley Regional Hospital, Kentville, sur­rounded by family and friends, after a courageous bat­tle with cancer. Lynn grew up in Hants Border, Kings Co. She at­tended Horton District High School and gradu­ated from the ste­nography pro­gram at Kingstec Campus in 1980. Lynn worked at Acadia University for 33 years and became Senior Network Analyst of The Department of Tech­nology Services in 1997, then Supervi­sor of Information systems in 2008, and Manager in 2009. During her working career, Lynn studied part time and received her Certificate in Business in 1992 and Diploma in 1993. She obtained her Certificate in Com­puter Science in 1998, and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Adminis­tration in 2007 from Acadia Universi­ty. Lynn loved to travel. Her most re­cent trip was to Disneyworld, Florida last spring with her daughter, grand­daughter and spouse. Lynn selflessly gave to others. She volunteered with Big Brothers & Big Sisters and raised money for breast cancer, as well as ran several marathons, including Run for the Cure. Lynn was an avid squash player, and was President of The Kings County Squash Club in 2010 and 2011. She loved playing guitar, gar­dening, decorating, frenchy shopping, and spending time with family and friends. Lynn especially enjoyed Sun­day suppers, holidays and birthdays with family at her Mother’s house. Lynn will be remembered for her beautiful smile, disposition, and her kindness to others. Lynn was prede­ceased by her father, Walter Chipman.
