    Age 93, of Hantsport, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at Dykeland Lodge, Windsor. Born November 27, 1926 in Avonport, Verna was a daughter of the late William and Agnes (Smith) Tracey.

    Verna started work as a teenager at a hotel in Hantsport, then went on to work at the Yeaton’s Candy Factory. She said she liked the products they made way too much. Verna was a member of the New Minas Waves Senior Group and an adherent of the Hantsport Baptist Church. She loved to go to all the craft shows. Verna also loved to crochet and knit in her spare time, and her work was beautiful. She had a big heart and was a loving mother.

    Besides her parents, Verna was predeceased by husband, Arthur; daughter, Judith; brother, Blake and son-in-law, Garnet Mason.

    Verna married Arthur Harden Vaughan on 17 Sep 1945. Arthur (son of James Jacob Vaughan and Leora May Tracey) was born on 17 Oct 1926 in Bishopville, Kings, Nova Scotia; died on 11 Feb 2008 in Windsor, Hants, Nova Scotia; was buried in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport, Hants, Nova Scotia.     Age 72, of Lower Sackville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 4, 2018 in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Windsor, she was a daughter of Verna and the late Arthur Vaughan. Judy had an avid love for horses, she loved to crochet afghans and doilies for her friends and family as well as cooking and baking. Fondly known as \'Judge Judy\', she was a mother to everyone and helped all who were in need. Predeceased by brother-in-law, Garnet Mason. A private family ceremony will be held at a later date.
