- Eleanor Jean "Granny" CLAYTON — Wolfville/Hantsport
Age 92 of Wolfville (formerly of Hantsport), passed away peacefully on June 12, 2022 in Wolfville Nursing Home. Born May 10, 1930, in Windsor Forks, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Violet (Carson) Williams. Eleanor and Ted loved camping and over the years they made many friendships. She enjoyed playing 45’s, going to monthly breast quest meetings, and eating out. But her passion was making strawberry jam and date squares and giving them all away. We can remember one summer where Eleanor ate three 11.4 liter tubs of coffee ice cream and didn’t gain an ounce! Who does that?!?
Eleanor was predeceased by her husband, Theodore “Ted” Clayton in 2007; sisters, Lillie Peach, Mary Lowthers, Maxine Doucet, Elizabeth Church, Elva Parker, and Barbara Scott; brothers, Lester Williams, Medford Williams, Alfred Williams, and Arthur Williams. We, the family, would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Wolfville Nursing Home for their excellent care. A Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday, June 29th at 11 a.m. in Riverbank Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Hantsport Memorial Community Centre, PO Box 412, Hantsport, Canadian Cancer Society, or charity of one’s choice.
