Born on September 23, 1935, in Halifax, he was a son of the late Basil and Mary \'Mamie\' (Watts) Gordon. Tom owned Brooklyn Insurance, Hantsport, until his retirement and had been an Insurance Agent in Halifax for many years. In earlier years, he had worked as an electrician at the Halifax Dockyard. Tom was an avid sports enthusiast, a Blue Jays fan, loved golf, and was a former member of Avon Valley Golf & Country Club, Falmouth. He loved music and was a life member of the Kings Fiddlers. He was a member of St. James United Church, Hantsport, and sang in the choir for many years. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Anna Jean Holland.
