  	Lawrence Ernest Pitts aged 82 passed away peacefully on August 24, 2016 at the Hants Community Hospital with family at his side. Lawrence, better known to people as Pittsie, Papa and Dad, was the son of the late Ernest and Bessie (Walsh) Pitts of Lockhartville, NS. He was a retired wire and dye former at CKF Inc. and had worked at various other jobs throughout his life. He lived a long healthy and active life surrounding himself with family and friends as much as possible. He loved to pack up the car and take a long drive on an old dirt road in hopes of making a stop or two along the way. He enjoyed working in the woods and he had a passion for tractors and could often be found driving around on his old Massey. He always had a twinkle in his eye and would go out of his way to make sure that all those around him had a smile on their face. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends. Lawrence was predeceased by his beloved wife Sherry, stepson Brian Connors, his sisters Florence (Arnold) Zinck, Betty (Walter) Greene, brothers Robert (Margaret) Pitts, Richard (Mary) Pitts and Jimmy Pitts who died in infancy.
