- MULHALL, William Frederick \'Bill\'
Age 92, of Hantsport, died Monday, May 25, 2015, in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Liverpool, he was a son of the late Dr. William H. and Annie E. (Young) Mulhall. He was educated in the Liverpool schools, received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Allison University and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Nova Scotia Technical College. He spent one year in the Canadian Army in Canada. He joined Canadian Keyes Fibre Co. Ltd. (now CKF Inc.) in 1947, retiring in 1988, after having held positions of Engineer, Assistant Manager, General Manager and Vice President of Operations. He also served as a Director. Bill was very active in many organizations, including Hantsport Memorial Community Centre, Windsor Elms, U.C. Sherbrooke Lake Camp, Rotary Club of Windsor, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Valley Regional Hospital Board, Valley Presbytery of the United Church, Windsor Curling Club, Avon Valley Golf and Country Club, and member of Windsor Gyro Club. Music was a large part of Bill’s life. He began singing in operettas in high school and Mount Allison. On moving to Hantsport in 1947, he joined the choir at St. James United Church (now Avon United Church) and served as Director for over 50 years. He served on many church boards and committees over the years, including a representative on Valley Presbytery of the United Church. He was predeceased by his first wife, Barbara (Norman); sister, Betty (Tony) MacTier; brothers, Cyril, Richard and George; niece, Ann; and nephews, Robert, Jack and Brian.
