Born July 4, 1931, in Lockhartville, he was a son of the late Percy and Mary (Brewster) Henshaw. Rodney worked for Minas Basin Pulp and Power Company Limited, Hantsport for 15 years prior to moving to Western Canada. He later returned to Nova Scotia where he worked a variety of jobs until his retirement. Rodney was a kind and generous man who would do anything for anyone. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and attending hymn sings. Besides his parents, Richard was predeceased by daughter, Heather; brothers, Richard, Gordon, Joseph, Paul, Sheldon, George and infant brother, Harry; sisters, Irene Schofield, Annie Spencer, Alma O’Brien, and Ida Spencer.
