      July 10, 1921 - December 3, 2017, age 96, passed away quietly December 3rd, at home in Jubilee Lodge, Hantsport. She was the last remaining member of her immediate family. She was born in Scotland, a daughter of the late Harry and Isabella (George) Guptell. She was member of the Quilters 6 Club at Lockhartville United Baptist Church for many, many years. She enjoyed sewing and embroidery work, making too many pillowcases, bureau scarves and tablecloths to count. Besides her parents Jean was predeceased by her husband, of 73 years, William (2011); son, Harry at birth; sisters, Marie (Bob) Fliger, Gladys (William) Watters; brothers, Charles Guptell and Blake Guptell, also grandsons, Dale Allen (2010), Jason Allen (1999) and granddaughter, Margaret Allen at birth; son-in-law, Stephen Allen (2016).
