- Wallace “Wally” Russell, age 71, of Hantsport, passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 11, 2020, at the Halifax Infirmary Site, Q.E. II, Halifax.
Born on July 6, 1948, in Bay Roberts, Newfoundland, Wally was the son of Clarice (Russell) Caravan of Bay Roberts, Newfoundland.
He was employed as a shipper at CKF Inc. until health issues forced him on disability and later retired in 2010. He enjoyed Ryan’s Ridge Camp Grounds, where he camped for over 20 years, and especially loved sitting around the campfire with his friends. His favorite pastimes were watching the Toronto Maple Leafs, the WWE wrestling, reading or watching a western, and playing a good game of crib. His fondest memories were of spending time in the woods and fishing with his Uncle Howard at an early age.
Wally was predeceased by his step father, Bert Caravan.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
