    • PATTERSON, Malcolm Allison
      Age 83, of Hant­sport, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2014 at home. Born December 25, 1930 in West Ap­ple River, Cum­berland Co., he was a son of the late Freeman and Jennie (McWhirter) Patterson. Malcolm worked at Minas Basin for 43 years as a boiler operator. He was also a loving parent who loved to have children around him. He be­longed to Hantsport Baptist Church for many years. Malcolm is the last surviving member of his immediate family. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife, the former Daisy M. Moore (October 6, 2013); daughter, Jennie; brothers, Leslie, Millard, Emerson, Freeman, and Reginald, and Edward, in infancy; sisters, Gertie Patterson, Elizabeth McCuspey, Christenna White, and Myrtle McCully. Fu­neral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 19 in Hantsport Baptist Church (corner of Main and Willow Streets), Rev. Mark Hunter officiating. Interment will be held in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport, followed by a reception in the Church Fellowship Hall.
