    • It is with immense sadness the family of Robert Quenton "Bob" Starratt, age 75, of New Minas, announces his sudden passing at home on Friday, November 18, 2022. Born in Windsor, he was the son of the late Roy and Isabelle (Pearson) Starratt.

      Prior to retirement, Bob worked as a plater on submarines at the HMC Dockyard for 30 years. While he lived most of his life in the Hantsport area, they made the move further up the valley to New Minas 17 years ago to be closer to their beloved grandchildren. Bob was an avid horse lover and either owned them or was around them from a very young age. He met many of his closest friends for life through horses. Bob has been a member of the Poyntz Masonic Lodge No. 44 since 2003, having achieved the rank of Past Master.

      A combined masonic and funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 24, 2022 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Interment will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 28, 2022 in the Scott’s Bay Cemetery, Scott’s Bay.
