- Donald Maurice "Donnie" HUNTER — Falmouth
“Juke, Duck or Junior”, Age 68 of Falmouth, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2021, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease in Windsor Elms Village, Osprey 4, surrounded by the love of his family and staff. Born September 12, 1952, in Windsor, he was the son of the late Donald Hunter, Jean (Patterson) Hunter and stepfather Chesley Hancock. Besides his parents, Donnie was predeceased by his sister, June in infancy, sister Nancy and her husband Gary Macumber; grandparents, Clarence and Edith Patterson; and several aunts and uncles. Donnie’s favorite place was “The Camp” on Falls Lake where he spent time doing what he loved-boating, fishing and hiking. He also was an avid bowler and was always up to a challenge in horseshoes, darts, pool, cards and much more. He loved to hunt and fish the Mines Road, especially Dean Chapter. He was a proud employee of Minas Basin and long-time member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 56. He is now free. Donnie has been cremated and interment will be held in St. George’s Anglican Cemetery, Falmouth, at a later date. Donations in Donnie’s memory can be made to Windsor Elms Village Recreation Department.
