- LOWTHERS, Irvin Gordon
Age 74, Surrey, B.C., formerly of Windsor and Three Mile Plains, Hants Co., passed away at his home in Surrey, on Sunday, July 5, 2020, after a battle with cancer.
He was predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Lorrena (Wile) Lowthers; grandchildren, Alyssa Patricia (2008), and her twin, Mason Gordon Hernandez (2015). He was also predeceased by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jerry and Ted Smith.
Irvin started working at Minas Basin in Hantsport, where he became interested in what was to become his trade as a machinist and he worked at several places including Mount Uniacke, Dartmouth and ending in Windsor. He loved camping and vacationing with family and friends, and will be remembered for his dry sense of humour. He enjoyed playing golf, cards and watching sports when he’d cheer for whoever was playing against the Maple Leafs or any Boston team.
Cremation took place in Just Cremations, in British Columbia with burial under direction of Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor, at a later date.
