- Lunn, Clyde Henry - 90, of Mount Denson, Hants Co., passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 30, 2011 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Windsor, he was a son of the late Thomas and Emma (Hoeg) Lunn. Clyde was a veteran having served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1940-1945 on the St. Francis performing convoy duty. He was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion in both Hantsport and Windsor and also belonged to the Mount Denson United Church for 41 years, all of which he served as treasurer. Clyde worked for 20 years at both Minas Basin Pulp and Power and CKF in Hantsport. Clyde loved playing musical instruments, doing crosswords, watching baseball, working in the yard and most of all spending time with his family. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers, Ralph and Howard Lunn. There will be no visitation by request, the Royal Canadian Legion will conduct a tribute service at 2 p.m., Monday, July 4, followed by the funeral service in St. James United Church, 17 Prince Street, Hantsport, Rev. Bill Gibson officiating. Private family burial will be held in Mount Denson Cemetery, followed by a reception in the church hall.
