- LANG, Herbert Nathaniel Jr. \'Herb\'
Age 76, of Hantsport, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2013, in Hants Community Hospital, Winds or. Born on September 12, 1937, in Malden, Mass., USA, he was a son of the late Doris Elaine (Tanner) Moccia and Herbert Nathaniel Lang Sr. Herb was a long-time employee of Avon Valley Greenhouses, Falmouth, where he was employed for 20 years, retiring to pursue his passion for gardening and travelling to NASCAR events. He also took this free time to spend with his family, especially with his grandchildren. He was past president of the West Hants Minor Hockey Association. Herb had also coached Minor Baseball and Hockey in West Hants and Hantsport. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his stepmother, Anna Mary Lang; his sister, Elaine Foley. A private family committal service will be held in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport, at a later date.
