    • Col. Evan Ross Davison, U.S. Army (Ret.), 82, of New Cumberland, PA, died Friday, March 28, 2008, at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
      He retired as a U.S. Army Colonel and was a Veteran of the Pacific Theater in World War II, the Korean War, and two tours of duty in Vietnam. Among many honors for his military service, Ross was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge, the National Defense Service Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation, the Legion of Merit (twice) and various campaign service medals.
      Following his Army career, he worked for the former Dougherty and Twigg Real Estate Company, which then became Jack Gaughen Realtor. He attended St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland, and was a member of the Military Officers Association of America; the Chartier Club of New Cumberland, West Shore B.P.O.E. Camp Hill; Riverview Golf Course, New Cumberland, Harrisburg Foreign Policy Assn; and was a 25-year volunteer and former president of West Shore Meals on Wheels.
      Ross obtained his BS from Syracuse University and his MBA from Babson College in Massachusetts.
      Born in 1925 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, he was the son of the late Ernest C. and Christine (Ross) Davison, and was the first in his family to become an American citizen.

      A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Tuesday in St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland, with the Rev. J. Michael McFadden as celebrant. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Hanover Twp. Viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m., Monday in Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland, with the scripture service beginning at 6:30 p.m.

(Melanie) of Pittsford, NY, John W. of New Delhi, India; James A. (Lenka) of Prague, Czech Republic; two brothers, Rev. E. Burton Davison of New Paltz, NY, and William G. Davison of NY, NY; eight grandchildren, Paul, Christopher, Kathleen, Casey, Matthew, Rebecca, Sara and Jakub.
