      Age 84, of West Brooklyn, Kings Co., passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017 in Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville. Born on June 6, 1933 on the homestead in West Brooklyn, he was a son of the late Manning and Cora (Atwell) Guptill. He had been employed with Canadian Keyes Fibre, Hantsport for 37 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the Lockhartville Tug-of-War team when they became Maritime Champions. An outdoorsman, Maynard enjoyed cutting and splitting wood, fishing, hunting and trapping and was a member of the Kings County Trappers Association. He was predeceased by brothers, Murray Guptill and Manford Guptill. A private family burial will take place in West Brooklyn Cemetery.
