    Paul Benedict, of Meadows Road, Sydney Forks, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2015, in the Cove Guest Home, Sydney, with family at his side. Paul was predeceased by his wife of 68 years, Bertha; parents, Russell and Emily Benedict, Hantsport; stepmother, Cathella Benedict, Hantsport; brothers, Russell Jr., Donald, Robert and Austin; sisters, Mary and Gertie; and granddaughter, Nancy Nicole Benedict. Moving to Sydney Forks in 1953, Paul enjoyed the camaraderie of his co-workers for 38 years at Municipal Ready Mix. He gave the same care and attention to his heavy equipment as he did the draft horses he worked in the fields, orchards and forests of the Annapolis Valley. Paul will be remembered as a patient and kind father, loyal husband, family member and good neighbour. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends near home and in Florida. Interment in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
