STEELE, John Arthur \'Jack\' — 77, Lockhartville, passed away at home on Wednesday, June 20, 2012. Born in Sutton, Ont., John was a son of the late James and Mary Jane (Oliver) Steele. Before moving to Nova Scotia, John had served in the military and was an Army Service­man with SC 753 B Company. John had worked for many years with C. H. Norton Bus Lines in Ontario, driving school buses, transit bus­es and tour buses. After moving to Nova Scotia, John worked for several farms, the latest being Elderkin’s Farm, Greenwich. John loved to work in his vegetable gardens. He also loved his pets, espe­cially his cat \'Tiny\'. John may not have expressed it often, but he loved all his children, grandchildren, great-grand­children, stepchildren, step grand­children and step great-grandchil­dren very much. He will be sadly mis­sed by them all. Besides his par­ents, John was predeceased by son, William in infancy; son, Garnet; a grandson and step grandson, Neil; brother, Howard; half-brother, Eugene and half-sister, Frances.
