    McCULLY, Leonard Douglas \'Len\' (FCA)
    83, of Hantsport, Hants Co., passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, after a brief illness on Sun­day, June 23, 2013, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Debert, he was a son of the late Sidney and Lillian (Geldart) McCully. Len was a graduate of Mount Allison Com­mercial College. He worked at H. R. Doane where he earned his char­tered accountant designation. He then went on to work for Minas Ba­sin Pulp and Power Ltd. and Scotia Investments Limited. for 40-plus years. Len was Mayor of the Town of Hantsport for nine years. As a dedicated volunteer, he served as President and sat on the Board of many companies and organizations. He was a dedicated member of the Hantsport Baptist Church, an hon­orary firefighter and a member of Poyntz Lodge for 58 years. Len en­joyed travelling with Buddy and the family in their trailer and upon re­tirement he and Buddy enjoyed travels to different parts of the world. He was also an avid golfer. Len was predeceased by brothers, Manning, Michael and Everett; sis­ter, Mae Matthews. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317), where Poyntz Lodge No. 44, A.F. & A.M., Hant­sport, will conduct a Masonic Ser­vice at 6 p.m., followed by visitation from 6:30-8 p.m. today, Thursday, June 27. Funeral service will take place 2 p.m. Friday, June 28 in Hant­sport Baptist Church, corner of Main and Willow Streets, Rev. Dan Jamer officiating. Private family in­terment will be held in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport, followed by a reception in the Church Fellowship Hall.

    McCULLY, Doreen Jean \'Buddy\'
    Age 83, of Falmouth, formerly of Hantsport, Hants Co., passed away peacefully on Friday, March 27, 2015, in Windsor Elms Village, Falmouth. Born on February 14, 1932, in Moncton, N.B., she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Hilda (Livingston) Dixon. Buddy was a graduate of Halifax Children’s Hospital in 1954. Although never making a career of nursing, she used her skills to raise five children. She was a dedicated volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross, IODE and UNICEF. Buddy was a member of Hantsport Baptist Church and she enjoyed travelling with Len and family in the trailer and to many parts of the world. Besides her parents, Buddy was predeceased by her husband, Leonard Douglas \'Len\' McCully; brothers, John and Walter Dixon. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., PO Box 981, Windsor B0N 2T0 (902-798-8317). There will be no visitation, by request. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Monday, March 30 in Hantsport Baptist Church (corner of Main and Willow Streets), Rev. Debra Mosher officiating, assisted by Rev. Mark Hunter. Private family interment will be held in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport, followed by a reception in the Church Fellowship Hall.
