    The North Adams Transcript of May 3rd publishes an obituary of Rev. Wm. Spencer whose death occurred on the 2nd inst., at his home 67 Rivera St., North Adams, Mass. He had suffered with consumption for six months, and lately had been running down steadily and rapidly. About 24 hours before his death acute pneumonia developed, and the end came somewhat sooner than had been anticipated. Mr. Spencer was a native of Cape Breton, and when a boy his parents located near Halifax. His education was finished at Acadia College, Wolfville. Shortly after graduating he entered the Baptist ministry, and preached in Nova Scotia until about 12 years ago, when he moved to the United States. He preached in Vermont and Massachusetts, finally settling in North Adams. He bore a faithful earnest Christian character. Mr. Spencer is survived by a widow, four sons and a daughter, Albert E., William L., Percy E., Harold A., and Miss Elizabeth C. Spencer. The widow is a native of Hantsport, a daughter of Capt. Robert Davison; Capt. Hiram Davison of the bark Plymouth is her brother.
