She has been employed with the Eastern Kings Memorial Hospital in Wolfville, retiring after 38 years of service as the head of housekeeping. She enjoyed crafts, gardening and loved flowers. She was predeceased by her common-law partner, Bernard Swaine; brothers, Sid, Richard, Allen, Eddie, Perry, Ronnie, Louis and George. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
