    Age 101, of Hant­sport, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter Sheila and son-in-law, Gor­don on Wednes­day, September 17, 2014. Born in Carbonear, N.L. on October 21, 1912 , she was the daughter of the late James and Emma (Pike) Burden (of Carbonear, N.L.). Besides her parents, Doris was predeceased by hus­bands, Howard Hedges (of Grand Falls, N.L.) and Frederick King (of Manitoba). A private family graveside service will take place in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport. A service of remembrance, followed by a recep­tion, will take place at 2:30 p.m. Sat­urday, September 27 in Avon United Church, 17 Prince St., Hantsport.
