MOOERS, Hazen Leonard — Age 78, of Hants Border, Kings Co., beloved husband of Rita, passed away peace­fully on Saturday, March 12, 2011, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, with his family by his side. Born on March 24, 1932, in Temperance Vale, York Co., N.B., he was a son of the late Fred and Ada (MacFarlane) Mooers. Hazen re­tired from Cana­dian Keyes Fibre in Hantsport. He was a former resi­dent of Cam­bridge, Ont. Predeceased by brothers, Edison and Lee; sisters, Hilda Mon­teith and Evelyn Marney.

Hazen married Reta May Mosher. Reta (daughter of John Mosher and Martha Burke) was born on 29 Aug 1924 in St. Croix, Hants, Nova Scotia; died on 7 Feb 2024 in VRH, Kentville, Kings, Nova Scotia; was buried in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport, Hants, Nova Scotia. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Reta May “Rita Mae” Mooers (Mosher), age 99, of Hantsport, on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, in the Valley Regional Hospital with family by her side. She was born August 29, 1924, in St. Croix, NS. She was predeceased by her husband, Hazen Mooers; mother, Martha Northup; stepfather, Harry Northup; brothers, Bob and Basil; and sisters, Grace, Emily and Hazel. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lindsay Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor, NS, B0N 2T0. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 14th at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Alex Mosher officiating. A reception will be held in the funeral home following the service. Burial will take place at a later date in the Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport.
