Ibrahim Ahmed “Mike” Zebian

Of Hantsport, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2021 with his loving family by his side. Ibrahim was born in Mdoukha, Lebanon in 1933. He came to Canada and lived in Ontario for a short time and then decided to settle in Nova Scotia because of its beauty. He opened a shoe store in Hantsport in 1961. Over the years, Ibrahim operated many clothing stores in Hantsport, Windsor and New Minas. He was a pioneer for his family, leading them to be strong and successful business people in the area. Ibrahim cherished his time with his grandchildren. They all adored him and family was the most important thing to Ibrahim. He loved to tell stories and help anyone he could. He was predeceased by his father, Ahmed Yousef Zebian, mother, Thahabeya; brother, Yousef, sister Smaya, brother Osem and sister Amney. Burial has taken place and there will be no service. A very special thank Dr. Wightman and Dr. Broder and the entire healthcare team at Valley Regional Hospital. Special thank you to the Victorian Order of Nurses for their care. Donations can be made to the Red Cross or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Charles married Rita Irene Awad. Rita was born in 1915 in Truro, Colchester, Nova Scotia; died on 19 Oct 2010 in London, Ontario. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Reta Irene Abraham, family matriarch, formerly of Collingwood, Nova Scotia and recently London, Ontario died Tuesday evening at the University Hospital in London. The wife of the late Charles Soloman Abraham passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and loved ones. Her age was 95.
Reta was a mother, wife, grandmother and a great grandmother. She lived life to the fullest, loved to travel, and was known for her outgoing personality and business savvy. She and her husband Charlie founded Charles Abraham General Store in Collingwood from 1939, and ran it until their retirement in 1972. They loved to entertain and had many friends in the community of Collingwood, Nova Scotia and surrounding areas.

Predeceased by her husband Charlie and her grandson Jason Joseph Abraham, she was the last surviving member of the Awad family formerly of Truro, Nova Scotia.
