    Notes:

    Died:
    HUNT, Frederick Leigh
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Frederick Leigh Hunt on May 1, 2017, in Valley Regional Hospital. With his family surrounding him, Fred went on to start his next life in the same manner as he lived his life here on earth: quietly and peacefully. Fred served in the RCAF in the communications field and as a Signaler with the militia at 723 Squadron Halifax where he retired from the Army as a Warrant Officer in 1983. While serving as a Reservist, he also served 35 years as a communications technician with the CBC and was proud to have started his career at the same time as CBC Nova Scotia first aired. Fred was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Elva Hunt (Riley), as well as his children’s mother, Joan Hunt (Ferguson). A celebration of his life will be held in Lockhartville Baptist Church at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, with Pastor Debbie officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in remembrance of Fred to Lockhartville Baptist Church or Hantsport District Lion’s Club through Serenity Funeral Home in Kentville. Cards and letters may be sent to 985 Bluff Rd., Hantsport NS B0P 1P0.
